The cultivated alfalfa variety "Victoria" is a high-quality forage crop grown on Ukrainian soils. The plant features an upright bush with round green stems of medium and large length. Leaves have medium length and a green color, while the inflorescences consist of a shortened spikelet of the banat type with medium density and purple flowers. Seeds are yellow in color and bean-shaped in form.
This variety is distinguished by its high winter hardiness, resistance to lodging and drought, making it a reliable choice for various climatic conditions. "Victoria" alfalfa demonstrates high winter survival and endurance, allowing for stable yields with frequent mowing. During the vegetation period, the plant provides 3-4 cuts, and up to 5 cuts are possible with intensive cultivation.
According to test results from 2011-2013, the average dry matter yield reached 136 ц/ha, with a maximum indicator of 248 ц/ha. The protein content in dry matter is approximately 17.8%, ensuring high nutritional value of the feed. Due to these characteristics, the "Victoria" variety is an excellent choice for producing quality forage raw materials.
