The Sineel variety of flax-fiber is a medium-early variety intended for the production of flax fiber. It is characterized by high productivity and resistance to unfavorable conditions, making it in demand in agriculture. The variety is included in the State Register of Breeding Achievements of the Russian Federation and recommended for cultivation in the North-Western and Volga-Vyatsk regions.
Sineel is characterized by high flax straw yield, reaching 47.4 c/ha in the North-Western region and 67.1 c/ha in the Volga-Vyatsk region. Fiber content in straw varies from 27.0% to 30.8% depending on the cultivation region. Maximum productivity by straw can reach 9.7 t/ha, and by fiber - up to 3.23 t/ha. Moreover, the variety has resistance to lodging, assessed at 4.5 points, which contributes to preserving the quality of the crop.
A feature of the Sineel variety is its resistance to fusarium wilt, which increases the reliability of cultivation and reduces crop losses. Thanks to the combination of high productivity, resistance to diseases and unfavorable weather conditions, this variety is an effective choice for producing high-quality flax fiber in the specified regions.
