Flax SUNFLOWER LINSEED

Technical Profile of the "Belochka" Flax Variety

The "Belochka" variety represents a selection achievement that combines the classic traits of fiber flax (flax-dolgunets) with a non-traditional usage profile. Developed by the Orenburg State Agrarian University, utilizing genetic foundations from the Vyatka State Agricultural Academy, this variety is an versatile tool for agribusinesses focused on integrated processing.

Morphology and Seed Potential

The defining characteristic of "Belochka" is its golden-colored seeds. Unlike standard brown-seeded varieties, golden flax contains a unique set of polyunsaturated fatty acids and possesses a milder flavor profile, making it a premium choice for the food industry, nutraceuticals, and pharmaceuticals. Its specific designation for oil production is supported by a high yield of high-quality raw material.

Practical Value for Producers

• Versatility: The combination of fiber flax characteristics allows for both fiber extraction and seed harvesting. This diversification strategy helps stabilize income per hectare.
• Adaptability: Developed under the guidance of Orenburg SAU, the variety is bred for high resilience to variable climatic conditions, ensuring consistent emergence and predictable biomass development.
• Harvesting Efficiency: The variety features uniform stalk development, which optimizes the settings of harvesting machinery and reduces grain loss during threshing. The thin golden seed coat requires precise calibration of the threshing apparatus to maintain kernel integrity.

Choosing "Belochka" is ideal for farms seeking the balance between industrial fiber utilization and high-margin oilseed production.
