ALTAYSKAYA KRESTYANKA is a decorative lily variety of Lilium L., developed by the Federal Altai Scientific Center for Agrobiotechnology. The plant reaches a height of 70–100 cm, has an upright scape 40–60 cm long bearing 7 to 13 bright red flowers. The inflorescence is a raceme with simple single-colored buds measuring 4 cm in diameter vertically and 14.5 cm horizontally.
The lily has medium resistance to diseases and pests, as well as high winter hardiness and medium heat tolerance. The flowering period lasts approximately 14 days, during which about three buds open simultaneously. The plant is characterized by dark brown bulbils and stem roots.
The variety is recommended for decorative greening of forest and forest-steppe zones, where it will serve as a bright accent due to its saturated red color without aroma. Due to its resistance and moderate flowering period, ALTAYSKAYA KRESTYANKA is suitable for both garden compositions and landscape design under various climatic conditions.
