Lily Valentina

Practical Application in Landscape Projects

Valentina lily, developed by the I.V. Michurin Federal Scientific Center, represents the Asian hybrid group, known for its cold tolerance and consistent performance. This variety is specifically bred for durability, making it an excellent candidate for both private gardens and large-scale public landscaping tasks.

Deployment Scenarios

• Tiered Flowerbed Design: With an average height of 60–90 cm, Valentina acts as an ideal mid-layer component. Its vibrant yellow color creates striking visual focal points, particularly when mass-planted against darker foliage.
• Low-Maintenance Landscapes: Due to its pedigree, this hybrid is remarkably resilient. It is well-suited for high-traffic areas or plots where intensive labor is not feasible, provided the basic requirements for drainage and lighting are met.
• Soil Management Requirements: Like all Asian hybrids, Valentina requires well-aerated soil. On heavy clay substrates, it is critical to introduce organic matter and sand to prevent waterlogging, which is the primary cause of bulb failure in this category.

For best results, integrate this lily into mixed borders that receive full morning sun. Its structural height ensures visibility throughout the growing season, while its robust constitution minimizes the need for frequent intervention, allowing for a sustainable, low-input planting strategy.
