Lettuce Grace

Operational insight: Grace lettuce

For large-scale or small-farm production, the Grace variety offers a reliable, mid-maturing option for head lettuce. Developed by the Gavrish Breeding Firm in collaboration with the All-Russian Research Institute of Vegetable Breeding, this cultivar is valued for its consistency in growth and physical robustness.

Key performance factors

• Head development: The variety produces a medium-weight head that is notable for its compact, dense rosette structure. This structural density is a significant advantage during the harvesting and distribution phases, as the leaves are less prone to mechanical damage and wilting.
• Color and visual appeal: The deep red pigment is a defining characteristic of this variety. It remains stable throughout the maturation cycle, ensuring that the final produce meets high market standards for color intensity.
• Maintenance and yield: As a mid-maturing variety, Grace fits well into production schedules that require rotation and efficiency. It is highly responsive to standard cultivation protocols, showing good resilience to varying field conditions without requiring complex corrective maintenance measures.

Optimizing plant density is essential when cultivating Grace to ensure each plant reaches its optimal medium-weight potential without overcrowding. Whether grown in protected film shelters or open-field environments, Grace acts as a dependable, low-maintenance variety that provides consistent quality for retailers and end-consumers alike.
