Description Avrora
AVRORA lettuce is a mid-season semi-head lettuce variety that becomes marketable 62 days after sowing. It is recommended for growing in open ground. The plant forms a rosette with vertically arranged leaves, about 27 cm in diameter and 23 cm in height. The leaves have a reddish tint, a tender oily consistency, and a bubbly surface, giving the lettuce a special texture and attractive appearance. The head is of medium density, 18-20 cm in height and 16 cm in diameter; the weight of one plant reaches approximately 430 grams. The lettuce has excellent organoleptic qualities. Sowing seeds is recommended directly into the ground in April-May, while to obtain seedlings, sow in March-April followed by transplanting in May. The optimal planting scheme is 25x30 cm, which provides sufficient space for forming a powerful rosette. Successful growing requires regular and moderate watering, which prevents both waterlogging and soil drying out, promoting healthy plant development and high yield. The yield of the AVRORA variety ranges from 3.8 to 4.2 kg per square meter, making it attractive for commercial growing and personal use. Thanks to its characteristics and taste qualities, this lettuce is excellent for fresh salads and other culinary applications where tenderness and rich leaf flavor are important.
