Zhytomyrs'kyi 75 — this is a hop variety cultivated in the Zhytomyrs'ka Oblast, traditionally an important region for hop growing in Ukraine. Historically, the area under hop cultivation in the region reached 6,000 hectares, of which a significant portion was productive plantations. However, in recent years, the area under hops has decreased to 0.3–0.4 thousand hectares, which is linked to changes in the region’s agro-industrial complex.
Despite the reduction in area, hop production in the Zhytomyrs'ka Oblast remains stable, with an annual yield of around 400 tons and an average productivity of 14–16 centners per hectare. In 2024, the hop variety Zhytomyrs'kyi 75 is cultivated on 13 farms located in the Berdychiv, Zhytomyr, and Korosten districts, indicating the preservation of regional traditions and specialization in this agricultural product.
The Zhytomyrs'kyi 75 variety is characterized by its adaptation to local climatic conditions and soils, ensuring a stable yield and high-quality raw material for the brewing industry. Its cultivation contributes to the development of the region’s agro-industrial complex and supports the status of Zhytomyrs'ka Oblast as one of Ukraine’s key hop-growing centers.
