Public

Public is a mid-early maize hybrid from the producer MAIS, intended for grain cultivation. It has a medium-early maturity group with an FAO index of 270-280, ensuring an optimal ripening period for various climatic zones of Ukraine. The grain type is dent, yellow in color, which contributes to high grain quality. Plants reach a height of 230-255 cm, and ear length is 21-22 cm. The 1000-grain weight varies within 290-310 g, and grain yield upon threshing reaches 82-84%.

The Public hybrid is characterized by high yield potential of 120-130 c/ha (12-13 t/ha), which remains stable even under unfavorable growing conditions. It exhibits excellent drought resistance, making it ideal for the forest-steppe and steppe regions of Ukraine with limited moisture. Additionally, the hybrid demonstrates good adaptability to various soil-climatic conditions, ensuring stable yields.

Public also exhibits high resistance to major diseases and pests. Resistance levels to drought, cold, lodging, fusarium, and corn borer are rated 9 out of 10, while resistance to major pests is rated 8.5 out of 10. This tolerance allows for reduced risk of yield loss and ensures quality grain harvest.
