Darina

The Daryna potato variety is an early-maturing table variety included in the State Register for the Volga Region for cultivation in private households. Plants are of medium height with upright stems and intermediate leaf type, dark green in color. Tubers are oval-round in shape with small eyes, covered with smooth yellow skin, and the flesh is light yellow. The mass of marketable tubers ranges from 88 to 161 grams, starch content is 14.8–17.0%. Flavor qualities are rated as good to excellent, marketability reaches 88–95%, and storability is 92–95%.

The Daryna variety is resistant to potato cyst nematode and is only slightly affected by golden potato cyst nematode, making it a reliable choice for cultivation. Marketable yield is at the level of 126–188 centners per hectare, comparable to the Zhukovsky Early standard. Thanks to these characteristics, the variety is suitable for cultivation under various climatic conditions in the region and ensures a stable yield of quality potatoes.

The Daryna potato is versatile in use and suitable for preparing a variety of dishes. Its light yellow flesh retains good flavor after thermal processing, making the variety attractive for home use. High marketability and storability ensure convenient storage and transportation, which is important for marketing and long-term use of the harvest.
