BOLVINSKY

The potato variety Bolvinский is a medium-ripening table variety with a maturation period of 80 to 95 days. Tubers have an oval-round shape with small eyes, light beige skin, and light yellow flesh. The weight of marketable tubers ranges from 91 to 148 grams, and the starch content is 13.3 to 17.9%. This variety is characterized by high marketability — 91-92%, as well as excellent storability, reaching 95%, ensuring long-term storage without loss of quality.

Plants of the Bolvinский variety are tall with semi-erect stems and large green leaves with strong wavy edges. The leaf blade is large with minimal or absent anthocyanin pigmentation. Yield of the variety ranges from 219 to 352 centners per hectare, with maximum yields up to 400 centners, comparable to leading regional standards. The number of tubers per plant ranges from 7 to 12.

The Bolvinский variety is resistant to late blight and potato cyst nematode, significantly reducing disease risks during cultivation. However, it is susceptible to the golden potato cyst nematode. Potatoes of this variety have good taste qualities and belong to the culinary type BC, making them suitable for making soups, boiling, and baking. Preferred cultivation regions are central areas of Russia.
