Transam F1

Cabbage Transam F1 — a late, high-yielding hybrid of white cabbage, developed by the Dutch company Bejo Zaden. This variety is characterized by a strong root system and heat tolerance, allowing successful cultivation in various climatic conditions, including arid regions of Ukraine. The vegetative period is approximately 140-145 days, after which dense heads weighing 4-5 kg with a round-oval shape and white, juicy core form. The leaves are crisp, and the internal structure of the fruits has excellent quality, making the hybrid popular for both fresh consumption and processing.

The Transam F1 hybrid exhibits high resistance to major cabbage diseases, such as fusarium wilt, vascular bacteriosis, and thrips. This ensures stable yields and reduced losses during storage and transport. Heads mature simultaneously, do not crack, and maintain good appearance during storage for up to 6 months, enabling market sales over an extended period without loss of flavor.

For cultivation, a planting density of 35-40 thousand plants per hectare with quality mineral fertilization is recommended. Cabbage Transam F1 is suitable for both direct sowing and seedling cultivation, and can be grown both in open ground and under cover materials. The hybrid's versatility is demonstrated by its suitability for pickling, sauerkraut production, and fresh consumption, making it an attractive choice for farmers and vegetable producers.
