Caprice — a medium-maturing decorative cabbage variety suitable for fresh consumption, dish and interior decoration, and ornamental gardening.
Plants form a compact, slightly raised rosette with a diameter of 45 cm and a height of 35 to 50 cm, with 60 to 85 leaves with medium-length petioles. The leaf rosette is dark green, gradually transitioning to a deep pinkish-red center. Leaves are round with slightly wavy edges and a weak waxy coating. Leaf surface is smooth with strong venation. Petiole length is 5-8 cm. Yield is 11-13 kg/m2.
Vitamin C content ranges from 40.48 to 45.7 mg%, sugars - 0.68-0.7%, dry matter content from 8.38 to 8.98%.
The variety is resistant to bacterial diseases, leaf-feeding pests, and low temperatures. It exhibits resistance to premature bolting.
