The NAF-NAF zucchini variety is an early-maturing type and is characterized by high undemandingness in cultivation. Fruits ripen 38-60 days after emergence and have a disk-like shape with a smooth, weakly segmented white surface. Each fruit weighs between 280 and 350 grams. The skin is thin and woody, while the flesh is white, crispy, and not sweet, giving them a special texture and taste.
The plant is bush-type, forming 1-2 side shoots, which facilitates care and harvest collection. For growing NAF-NAF, direct sowing in the ground is recommended at the end of May – beginning of June, and if desired, seedlings can be sown in April. The variety responds well to the application of organic fertilizers and requires regular watering, which contributes to obtaining high-quality and large fruits.
The NAF-NAF zucchini is versatile in cooking: it is excellent for braising, frying, and pickling. Young fruits look great when canning, especially in combination with other varieties of courgettes. Thanks to its characteristics and taste qualities, this variety will be an excellent choice for lovers of vegetables with a tender texture and pleasant taste.
