Zucchini TURTLE

Why «Cherepashka» is a top choice for home and professional gardens

The «Cherepashka» (Little Turtle) squash variety by Gavrish is a unique find in the world of garden crops. Its distinct pattypan-like shape distinguishes it from typical cylindrical zucchini, making it a favorite for those who appreciate both aesthetics and culinary versatility.

Key Advantages

• Early Harvest: With a ripening period of just 45–55 days, you can enjoy your first harvest exceptionally early in the season.
• Compact Growth: The bush habit of this plant saves valuable space, making it perfect for small plots or high-density gardening.
• Culinary Excellence: The tender flesh and bright white skin of the 100–300 gram fruits make them ideal for stuffing, whole-canning, or creating sophisticated vegetable assortments.

The primary advantage of «Cherepashka» is its hybrid-like visual appeal. Unlike standard zucchini that can become tough if left on the vine too long, this variety remains tender and attractive. Its specific sizing (100–300g) is biologically optimized to retain the best flavor profile for gourmet cooking.

Who is this variety for? It is the perfect choice for market gardeners aiming to supply "mini-vegetable" segments and for home growers seeking a high-yield crop without the sprawling vines that usually take up half the garden. The bush structure requires minimal maintenance—simply provide adequate water and protection from harsh midday sun during the peak ripening phase.

By choosing seeds from Gavrish, you gain access to proven genetic material developed under the expertise of Sergey Gavrish. This ensures reliable fruit set even during moderate temperature fluctuations, giving you peace of mind throughout the growing season.
