DescriptionRUSSIAN ISLAND
Iris *Russian Island* (Iris ensataМиронова, 2006) is a hybrid of Good Omen × Temple Maiden obtained through directed selection. The bush reaches a height of about 68 cm, while leaves ranging from 23 to 56 cm in length and 0.6 to 2.2 cm in width create an elegant outline around the flower.
The flower is double, with a diameter of approximately 19 cm. Tepals are colored lilac with darker veins and a light spot in the center; the crest of the stamens and their ridges are light lilac. The yellow signal and blue-violet halo add brightness and depth to the composition. The flower height is about 8.5 cm.
*Russian Island* prefers rich in humus, heavy, acidic fertile soils capable of retaining moisture and nutrients. Such iris grows well in containers and even in water bodies; during wintering, it can be stored in an unheated room, making the plant convenient for cultivation both in open ground and under home conditions.
