Rocket variety "Corsica" is a mid-season, cold-hardy type reaching up to 62 cm in height, forming a semi-rosette of smooth green leaves. The leaves have a lyre-shaped form and usually indented edges, giving the plant a characteristic appearance.
The flavor of rocket is distinguished by a rich nutty-mustard note, which is valued both in cooking and as a tonic. Young leaves are rich in vitamins, especially ascorbic acid, and minerals, making them beneficial for strengthening the immune system, improving digestion, and normalizing metabolism.
Seeds can be sown in early spring, in July-August, or even in tilled ground. The plant prefers fertile, non-acidic soil substrate, a light location, and regular moisture. For optimal growth, watering, weed control, loosening, and thinning are necessary.
Harvest begins just 2 weeks after germination, and during the season, seeds can be sown 5-6 times with an interval of 2-3 weeks, providing a continuous flow of fresh greens. Yield reaches approximately 2.5 kg/m².
Young rocket leaves are suitable as a side dish for meat and fish dishes, go well with seafood, are added to soups, salads, sandwiches, or cold appetizers. Due to their taste and beneficial properties, they are also used as a tonic and for supporting vascular health.
