LESKOVO FOGS

LESKOVO FOGS – is a fast-growing tree hydrangea, distinguished by its bright decorative qualities and ease of care. In its youth, the bush strives for vertical growth, but over the years it assumes a spherical shape, reaching a height of 1.1 to 1.5 m and a width of up to 2–2.3 m. Its light green skeletal shoots ensure the plant's stability even during intense flowering.

The leaves are large (7–15 cm), egg-shaped, pointed at the top and rounded or heart-shaped at the base. Leaf color changes from emerald green during the season to lemon shades by autumn. The semi-spherical inflorescences, with a diameter of 12–15 cm, consist of sterile four-petaled flowers with an interesting shape: initially pointed and star-like, then oval with a rounded edge. Flowering begins in the second half of June and can continue until the end of September due to the growth of young shoots, which provide a second, though less abundant, wave of flowering.

After flowering, the leaves turn green, and the flowers turn into dried flowers that remain on the bush almost until winter. LESKOVO FOGS does not require winter protection due to its frost hardiness down to –38 °C and grows beautifully on moist, humus-rich soils with a slightly acidic or neutral reaction. The plant prefers sunny locations but also thrives in semi-shaded conditions. Bush care is simple: spring pruning to a height of 30 cm above the soil surface and removal of thin shoots ensure healthy growth and beautiful flowering.

This variety is ideal for home gardens, parks, squares, and hedges. It does not sprawl, making it an excellent choice both as a single plant and in large groups, creating an effective decorative mosaic of green and yellow leaves in autumn.
