Description Vidibor
Vidibor hops is a tall, cylindrical plant with a rounded stem and numerous branches, which are arranged in a horizontal to drooping position. The plant does not form or forms a weak 'cap'. In the middle and upper parts of the plant, medium-length branches are present. The hop cones are long, egg-shaped and moderately dense, with long and wide bracts that have a moderate point at the tip. Flowering occurs in the middle period, and the vegetative period lasts 119 days. The Vidibor variety belongs to the aromatic type and is intended for brewing as well as for medicinal purposes. It is characterized by moderate winter hardiness, resistance to wetness and drought, as well as low susceptibility to diseases and pests. The yield of air-dried cones reaches 2.5 tons per hectare, and the mass of 100 cones is 26.7 grams. The alpha-acid content in the cones is 6.8%, and total resins amount to 18.9%. Vidibor hops are recommended for cultivation in the Forest-Steppe and Polissia regions. Due to its agronomic and biochemical characteristics, this variety is a reliable choice for the brewing and pharmaceutical industries, ensuring a stable yield and high-quality raw material.
