The Pegasus sunflower hybrid is a high-yield variety developed using Clearfield technology, intended for cultivation in various regions of Ukraine. It is characterized by plasticity and adaptability to different climatic conditions, which allows for stable yields in the Mykolaiv, Kirovohrad, Luhansk, Kharkiv, and Dnipropetrovsk regions, as well as in the Polesie, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe regions. The hybrid's vegetation period ranges from 107 to 112 days, ensuring timely maturity and high crop productivity.
Pegasus is characterized by high yields, reaching 52-55 centners per hectare, and a stable oil content in seeds at 48-50%. The hybrid possesses genetic resistance to several races of sunflower rust (from five to six), significantly reducing the risk of infection by parasitic plants. Additionally, it demonstrates high resistance to heat, drought, and shattering, making it particularly valuable for cultivation in arid and adverse weather conditions.
The hybrid tolerates herbicide treatment based on imidazolinones, including Euralining, which contributes to effective weed control and rapid plant recovery after treatment. High oil content and stress tolerance make Pegasus a profitable choice for agrarians seeking high-quality and stable sunflower yields.
