The «Flurtai» grape variety is a product of the Istituto di Genomica Applicata (IGA), officially registered in Ukraine in 2026. This hybrid was developed with a focus on shifting climatic conditions, where metabolic resilience to extreme temperatures is as crucial as yield potential.

Response to Stress Factors

In field conditions, «Flurtai» demonstrates high tolerance to moisture deficit. Due to the characteristics of its root system, shaped by genomic selection, the variety efficiently manages transpiration during prolonged heat waves. Unlike traditional varieties, «Flurtai» does not shed its fruit set during sharp temperature fluctuations, maintaining stable berry development even when thermometer readings hit critical levels.

Phytosanitary Profile

Resistance to pathogens is a key strength of this hybrid. The variety's genetic architecture provides an enhanced barrier against downy and powdery mildew, allowing for a significant reduction in fungicide applications throughout the season. This makes it a promising choice for farms focused on minimizing pesticide use.

Zoning and Agrotechnics

The variety is adapted for cultivation in the southern and central regions of Ukraine. It shows excellent vine maturation, which is critical for winter survival. With proper canopy management, «Flurtai» is not prone to overcropping, ensuring consistent harvest quality year after year.
