Geniana white-lilac is an annual climbing plant of the legume family, distinguished by its large, fragrant flowers measuring about 2.7 × 4 cm. The flowers feature a white base with lilac edging and emit a strong, pleasant scent due to the presence of armatanet. The leaves are dark green, and the stems are sturdy enough to support dense foliage.
The plant height varies from 60 cm to 1–2 m depending on growing conditions. Older stems are covered with tendrils that easily cling to supports, making Geniana an ideal choice for living fences and trellises. Flower stalks are round, smooth with straight edges; the sail has half-opened wavy fins.
The floristic period lasts almost all summer: flowering begins in early summer and continues until its end, providing continuous decorativeness to the garden. The plant does not form fruits, but due to its bright flora and persistent aroma, it becomes a valuable element of any developed plot.
