Description Tiasmin
The Tiasmin blackcurrant variety is a large-fruited plant developed in Ukraine and characterized by a medium ripening period. The berries of this variety have a light red or red-purple hue, an oval shape, and an average weight of about 5 grams, sometimes reaching larger sizes. The flesh of the berries is greenish-yellow, with a pleasant sweet taste rated at 8.3 points, and the skin is thin, strong, and elastic, ensuring high fruit transportability. Due to its high content of vitamin C and phenolic compounds, Tiasmin blackcurrant is not only delicious but also beneficial.

The bushes are medium-sized with a compact crown and few thorns, making care easier. The variety is highly cold-resistant and drought-tolerant, making it suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions, including forest-steppe, Polissia, and even steppe regions with irrigation. Resistance to diseases such as powdery mildew and anthracnose is rated as moderate, requiring regular care and preventive measures.

For successful cultivation of Tiasmin blackcurrant, choose sunny, elevated areas with fertile, loose soil of neutral or slightly alkaline reaction. Planting is best done in autumn or spring, pre-soaking the roots of saplings in a growth stimulator. Bushes require annual pruning and watering through trenches about 15 cm deep. The variety’s yield is high and can reach up to 20 tons per hectare, and the versatility of berry usage makes this blackcurrant promising for the fresh fruit market.
