The flowers are large, about 16 cm in diameter, with ruffled notches and folds along the petal edges, giving them a distinctive decorative appearance. The flower color is salmon-orange with large lemon-yellow spots on the three lower petals, enhanced by a dark raspberry bloom along the veins and a distinct streak nearly to the edge of the spot. The petals are dense and sturdy, ensuring resistance to rain and adverse weather. Flowering occurs once, from August to September. The plant features double flowers with a mild fragrance and upright stems. The leaves are simple and green. Gladiolus 'Debut' prefers sunny locations and light soils, such as sandy or loamy, with any pH level. Watering is moderate, but this variety requires ample sunlight and well-drained soil, which should be considered during cultivation. The plant's frost tolerance corresponds to zone 10, allowing it to be grown in regions with temperatures down to -1°C. This variety is widely used in landscape design for creating mixed borders, group plantings, and solitary arrangements due to its vibrant and expressive coloration. The inflorescence length reaches 85–90 cm, with 9 to 11 flowers opening simultaneously, making it an excellent choice for cutting and decorative arrangements. Gladiolus 'Debut' combines beauty, resilience, and decorative appeal, suitable for open ground and creating striking floral compositions.
