Garlic variety Leader is one of the best certified and grown varieties in Ukraine. This mid-late spring wheat variety is characterized by high winter hardiness and disease resistance, ensuring a stable and high-quality yield. The average head weight ranges from 80 to 120 grams, with the number of cloves varying from 4 to 7. In favorable years, the head weight can reach up to 130 grams even without additional irrigation. High seed germination rate — about 99% — guarantees reliable sprouting and plant development.

The Leader variety has high yield potential, reaching 110-120 kg per 100 m² when grown without irrigation. Additionally, garlic of this variety exhibits excellent storage qualities, retaining its properties for 9-10 months. Due to this, it is suitable for culinary use as well as for preservation, maintaining its aroma and flavor throughout the storage period.

For successful cultivation of Leader garlic, it is recommended to use organic fertilizers such as manure and compost, as well as mineral fertilizers — superphosphate, potassium nitrate, and nitrogenous fertilizers. Before planting, garlic heads are treated with a copper sulfate solution to protect against diseases. Optimal preceding crops on the plot include potatoes, zucchini, cucumbers, tomatoes, and cabbage. The seeding rate is about 10 kg per 100 m², and the average seed fraction is 8/21, ensuring uniform and high-quality plant development.
