Phacelia variety "Ulyanovsk Local" is a high-performance nectar producer, specifically developed for a continuous beekeeping conveyor in the Middle Volga region. The full flowering period is 55–60 days after germination and lasts from 35 to 40 days, ensuring a stable honey harvest for 102 days from June to September. Due to the sugar content in flowers of up to 8% and a high diastase number (not less than 6.4), bees receive rich nectar, and the product itself is high-quality phacelia honey, comparable in characteristics to linden honey.

The plant is distinguished by high cold hardiness: seedlings are resistant to low temperatures down to -7–9 °C, allowing for sowing in early spring. The vegetation period lasts 85–89 days, and seed yield reaches 5 c/ha. Phacelia also serves as a feed base for bees and a predecessor when planting other crops, improving soil structure and promoting pollination of garden plants.

For optimal use of phacelia, it is recommended to sow it in pure stands or in mixtures with other nectar producers (buckwheat, melilot, millet). With proper management of planting density, the plant ensures continuous flowering and a high influx of bees – from 11.5 to 49.8 individuals per square meter.
