Darnel Turfdreamer

German Precision in Forage Production

The 'Turfdreamer' variety, introduced in 2025, represents the latest advancement in German breeding for the forage sector. Designed for high-intensity agricultural operations, this variety focuses on maximizing the utility of the harvest, ensuring that the crop is not only productive in the field but also highly efficient during processing and storage.

Marketability and Processing

The primary objective of 'Turfdreamer' is to provide a premium raw material for silage and haylage production. The crop is characterized by high leaf density, which ensures an excellent visual and nutritional quality of the final product. For processors, this means a consistent raw material that maintains its integrity throughout the harvesting and ensiling process, resulting in a high-quality end product that is highly palatable for livestock.

Logistics and Storage

Efficiency in logistics is a hallmark of this variety. 'Turfdreamer' exhibits superior transportability due to its robust stem structure, which minimizes losses during transit from the field to the processing facility. Furthermore, its high dry matter density allows for optimized storage space, making it a cost-effective solution for large-scale farming operations that prioritize long-term storage stability.

• High leaf-to-stem ratio ensures superior marketability of the forage.
• Excellent structural integrity reduces losses during mechanical harvesting and transport.
• Optimized for long-term storage, maintaining nutritional value over extended periods.
