Hydrangea «Magical Kilimanjaro» – a tall panicle cultivar reaching heights and widths of 1.2 to 1.5 m. The plant has a spreading crown with straight branches, and with proper pruning forms a spherical shape. Annual growth is 30–50 cm, making it an ideal choice for creating living hedges and specimen plantings.
Large conical inflorescences reach a length of 20–25 cm. At the beginning of flowering, they are colored in a lime shade, then transition to creamy-white tones, and by the end of the season acquire a pinkish-lavender hue. The flowering period lasts from July to early October, and the plant has no pronounced aroma.
«Magical Kilimanjaro» is characterized by high frost hardiness – withstands temperatures down to -34 °C (USDA zone 3-4). The plant prefers well-fertile, loose soils with a slightly acidic reaction and requires regular watering. Ideally grows in well-lit areas with light shading in the afternoon, and is suitable for containers on balconies and terraces thanks to its compact size. Thanks to large inflorescences and frost resistance, this variety combines beautifully with conifers, perennials, and other shrubs, creating bright compositions in the garden.
