Mid-early maturing variety developed at the All-Russian Research Institute of Fruit Crop Selection from crossing the varieties Minnesota and Chulkovskaya. Breeders: L.V. Bayanova, V.E. Dzhafarova. Since 2009, included in the State Register of Selection Achievements approved for use in the Central Chernozem region.
Medium-height, weakly spreading, medium-density bush. Non-hardened shoots of medium thickness, green; hardened shoots are light brown with long internodes. Buds of medium size, narrow, on a short stem, deviated from the shoot by 45°. Petiole scar is narrow and rounded.
Leaf five-lobed, large, green with weak gloss, non-leathery. Blade slightly wrinkled, hairy underneath, with wavy margins. Lobes are short and blunt, central lobe exceeds lateral ones. Lateral lobes are widely spaced, angle between their midveins close to right angle. Basal lobes are well developed. Leaf base is straight or slightly notched. Teeth are large and blunt. Berries large (average weight 0.7 g), bright red, round or slightly flattened, tart-sweet, with pronounced sweetness, universal use, good gelling properties. Chemical composition: dry solids — 11.8%, total sugars — 8.0%, titratable acidity — 2.4%, ascorbic acid — 71.9%, P-active substances — 703.0 mg/100 g, pectin substances — 7.7%.
The variety is resistant to powdery mildew and anthracnose, characterized by moderate winter hardiness, early fruiting, and medium-long-term yield of 11.1 t/ha (1.6 kg/plant at planting scheme 0.5 x 2.8 m), in favorable weather years — 16.3 t/ha (2.3 kg/plant).
Advantages of the variety: early ripening, large berries, good taste, high quality of processed products (jelly, juice), high content of ascorbic acid and P-active substances, resistance to powdery mildew and anthracnose.
Disadvantages of the variety: early flowering and damage to flowers and buds by spring frosts.
