Early maturing variety, developed in 1932 at the VNILR named after N.I. Vavilov by crossing the varieties Fayya Plododorodnaya and Zamok Hautton. Breeder N.I. Pavlova. Since 1965, included in the State Register of Breeding Achievements approved for use in the Northwestern, Volga-Vyatka, Central Chernozem, Volga, and Ural regions.
Strong, medium-height, moderately spreading, broad, dense bush. Growing shoots of medium thickness, bright pink at the top, sparingly hairy. Woody shoots are straight, unbreakable, grayish. Buds are large, oval, on short, broad stalks, forming a triangle together with them.
Leaves of medium size, round, dark green, matte, with five well-defined lobes. Lobes are broad, triangular, with rounded tips, equal in size. Leaf blade is concave along main veins. Edges are wavy, teeth along the edge are large, of a serrated type. Leaf base is heart-shaped. Leaf petiole is medium in length and thickness, straight, hairy.
Flowers are cup-shaped, small. Calyx lobes are yellowish with bright anthocyanin veins. Calyx lobes are loosely arranged. Petals are inversely triangular, small. Perianth tube is rounded-pentagonal, greenish, medium height. Flowering is early. Inflorescences are short, about 6 cm, contain 8-10 berries, dense. Inflorescence stalk is very short, thick, unbreakable.
Berries of medium size (0.5 g), round, light red, contain 3 to 7 rather large seeds, taste moderately tart and pleasant. Berries are suitable for fresh consumption and processing. Chemical composition: dry matter — 17.8%, total sugars — 6.9%, titratable acidity — 3.0%, ascorbic acid — 44.0 mg/100 g.
Yield of the variety is medium, 3-4 kg/plant. Self-fertility under natural self-pollination is 39%. Cold hardiness is medium, flower buds are severely damaged by sharp temperature fluctuations. Resistance to anthracnose is medium. Not resistant to blackberry bud mite and double-flowering.
Advantages of the variety: good taste qualities of berries.
Disadvantages of the variety: low resistance to diseases and pests, early flowering, inconvenience during harvest due to the very short inflorescence stalk.
