Mid-early ripening variety, developed in the Netherlands by crossing 'Fayya Plodoryadnaya' and 'Market of London' in 1941. It has gained widespread cultivation in Western European countries. Since 1992, it has been included in the State Register of Selection Achievements approved for use in the Northwestern, Volga-Vyatka, and Central Chernozem regions.
Bush is vigorous, upright, and dense. Growing shoots are thick, pinkish along most of the shoot, hairless. Woody shoots are straight, stiff, light beige. Buds are small, egg-shaped, on short stalks, deviated from the shoot. Leaf petiole trace is narrow, rounded-triangular.
Leaf is five-lobed, with well-developed basal lobes, large, round, leathery, dark green. Lobes are triangular, pointed, wide, equal in length. The middle lobe has barely noticeable protrusions. Leaf blade is slightly concave along main veins, moderately wrinkled, with a straight, slightly uplifted margin. Marginal teeth are large, double-toothed type. Base is heart-shaped, with shallow notch. Leaf petiole is medium length, fairly thick, slightly hairy along entire length.
Flowers are plate-shaped, large. Calyx color is greenish with occasional anthocyanin streaks. Calyx lobes touch each other. Petals are reverse-triangular, large. Perianth tube is greenish, tall, pentagonal in outline. Inflorescences are medium and long (up to 10 cm), containing up to 10 berries, medium density. Inflorescence stalk is green, long, medium thickness, hairy, brittle.
Berries are large (0.7 g), round or slightly pear-shaped, bright red, with dense skin, contain 4-5 large seeds, pleasant taste, suitable for fresh consumption and processing. Remnants of perianth on irregular pentagonal base. Chemical composition: dry matter — 13.3%, total sugars — 6.2%, titratable acidity — 2.7%, ascorbic acid — 31.3 mg/100 g.
High-yielding variety (16.0 t/ha or 6.5 kg/plant), early-bearing, moderate self-fertility, characterized by high winter hardiness. Resistant to powdery mildew, lightly affected by anthracnose, moderately susceptible to bud mite.
Advantages of the variety: high berry quality, early ripening, disease resistance.
Disadvantages of the variety: early flowering, which may lead to berry drop after spring frosts.
