Description CHERNOOKAY
The 'Chernookay' blackcurrant variety is a highly productive and low-maintenance bush with powerful shoots and medium-height spreading bushes. The berries of this variety are large, round, glossy, deep black with thick-medium skin. The berries have a sweet taste with a slight sourness, and their rich aroma makes them particularly appealing for fresh consumption and processing. Flowering occurs in May, and the harvest begins in mid-July, which corresponds to a medium-late maturation period.

The variety is distinguished by high resistance to diseases such as powdery mildew, anthracnose, and columnar rust, and also possesses good drought and heat tolerance. Yield reaches 3-5 kg per bush, which equates to about 93 centners per hectare. The berries contain about 9.9% sugars, 3.0% acids, and a significant amount of vitamin C — 150 mg%, making them not only tasty but also healthy.

'Chernookay' is a universal variety suitable for cultivation in various regions, especially in the Central Black Earth region. Care for the plant is not complicated but requires attention at different times of the year to maintain bush health and maximum yield. Due to its taste qualities and beneficial properties, this blackcurrant variety is an excellent choice for gardeners who want to get fresh berries with a rich vitamin composition directly from their own plots.
