Description Resident
Sugar beet variety Resident is a classic diploid hybrid with high yield potential and increased sugar content, reaching 18.3%. The root has an oval-conical shape and is buried in the soil to 85%, which contributes to good storability and product preservation. The leaf rosette is of medium size, dark green in color, and spreading in form, ensuring optimal plant development. This variety is recommended for medium harvest periods and is suitable for cultivation in various climatic zones of Ukraine, including Polissia, forest-steppe, and steppe.

Resident is distinguished by high resistance to major sugar beet diseases, such as phytophthora root rot, cercosporosis, rhizomania, and powdery mildew. Additionally, the variety shows resilience to adverse weather conditions, including drought and cold, making it a reliable choice for farmers aiming to obtain a stable and high-quality harvest.

For effective cultivation, the recommended seeding rate is 1.4 seeding units per hectare. Thanks to its characteristics, the Resident variety ensures high root yields — up to 87.5 tons per hectare, making it promising for industrial sugar and other processing products production.
