Description Regata
REGATTA sugar beet is a high-yielding hybrid with cylindrical roots of medium weight, approximately 700-850 grams, and large size. The plant has a medium maturity period and a vegetative period of up to 120 days. The root is deeply embedded in the soil, has a relatively smooth surface, facilitating harvesting and reducing soil adhesion. The leaf rosette is semi-erect, with moderately corrugated leaf blades of medium size. The root system is taprooted, penetrating to a depth of 2-2.5 meters, ensuring good water uptake and drought resistance. REGATTA exhibits high resistance to major sugar beet diseases, such as rhizomania, cercosporosis, rhizoctonia, powdery mildew, and root rot. Thanks to these qualities, the hybrid maintains health and productivity even under adverse conditions. The sugar content of the roots reaches 18%, and the yield can reach up to 80 tons per hectare at the recommended seeding rate of 1.4 p.e./ha. The hybrid is intended for cultivation in the Polissya and forest-steppe regions. REGATTA is a warm-loving and heat-tolerant crop, optimally developing at a temperature of 20-22°C, but capable of effective photosynthesis even at temperatures above 40°C. Sugar beet requires adequate moisture, especially during the intensive root growth period in July-August. Due to its well-developed root system, the plant can withstand drought, absorbing water from great depths. This hybrid is widely used as a technical crop for sugar and molasses production, as well as in culinary and feed industries, making it a versatile and economically advantageous choice for farmers.
