KUBANSKII MS 92 — a hybrid sugar beet variety intended for cultivation in the North-Caucasus region and the Central-Black Earth region. This single-shoot diploid hybrid on a sterile CMS background is characterized by medium maturity and high yield. The plant is of medium height with semi-erect green leaves and a light-green petiole. The root has an oval-conical or conical shape, with a white underground part and a mass of about 570–623 g.
The hybrid is distinguished by resistance to major diseases, such as root nematode and pitiosis root rot, as well as enhanced resistance to cercosporosis. This allows significantly reducing crop losses and reducing costs for plant protection. The vegetative period is about 180 days, corresponding to the medium maturity group. At harvest, leaves make up approximately 50% of the total plant mass, which facilitates the harvesting process.
KUBANSKII MS 92 demonstrates high yield indicators — average root yield reaches 38 tons per hectare, with sugar content in roots of about 15.2–17.9%. Sugar harvesting ranges from 62.7 to 82.6 centners per hectare, making this hybrid economically beneficial for the sugar industry. Thanks to its characteristics, the hybrid is widely used in regional production, ensuring stable and high yields without the need for manual thinning.
