Sugar beet of the Alegra variety is a high-yielding hybrid with high sugar content in the roots. The root has an oval-conical shape with fine ridges and is buried about 85% in the soil, facilitating ease of harvesting and storage. The leaf rosette is of medium size, dark green, and quickly closes in rows, providing good soil coverage and weed suppression. This variety is characterized by stable productivity and is suitable for storage in heaps, allowing long-term preservation of crop quality.

Alegra exhibits high resistance to major sugar beet diseases, including cercosporosis and ramulariosis, as well as moderate resistance to root rots. Additionally, the variety is tolerant to pathogens of the Aphanomyces group, significantly reducing the risk of yield loss. It is also resistant to adverse weather conditions such as drought and cold, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in a moderately continental climate.

Alegra seeds are suitable for planting in various soil types, including loess chernozems, chestnut, and podzolic soils. However, cultivation of this variety is not recommended after flax, corn, cereal grasses, and perennial leguminous crops. A medium harvest time is recommended to optimally utilize the variety’s potential.
