The vegetative period lasts 40-49 days, after which the plant begins to fruit actively. The main stem reaches a length of 2-2.5 meters and forms 4-5 lateral branches, ensuring high yield. The cucumbers have a cylindrical shape, 8-12 cm long, weighing 87-110 grams. The fruit skin is bright green, glossy, with a small amount of pale stripes and tiny warts, and the flesh has a crisp texture and pleasant flavor without bitterness, rated 4.6-5 out of 5.
The Zefir F1 hybrid exhibits high resistance to common cucumber diseases, including anthracnose, bacterial disease, olive spot, and powdery mildew. For successful cultivation of Zefir F1 cucumbers, select sunny, warm areas with fertile, moist, but well-drained soil rich in nutrients and compost. Seeds can be sown directly into the ground in May, when the soil has warmed sufficiently, or seedlings can be grown under cover as early as April. The first harvest is typically harvested in July, allowing for fresh, high-quality cucumbers in the early part of the season.
