Ventura F1

Cucumber Ventura F1 is a hybrid from the Dutch breeding company Rijk Zwaan, intended for cultivation under various conditions, including winter-spring rotation in soil culture, as well as in plastic greenhouses and open ground. This late-maturing variety is characterized by high commercial yield, reaching 20.8–23.3 kg per square meter, and resistance to diseases such as cladosporiosis. The plants are strongly branched, predominantly female-flowered, ensuring cluster formation of fruits and uniform, even harvest.

Fruits of Ventura F1 have a cylindrical shape, about 32 cm long, weighing 270–356 grams. Their surface is dark green, glossy, and relatively ribbed, with a short neck. The cucumbers are crisp, juicy, and possess excellent taste qualities both fresh and after pickling or salting, thanks to their dense texture. The variety is also characterized by a fine, bumpy surface and an attractive green color of the fruits.

The hybrid is self-pollinating (parthenocarpic), simplifying its cultivation in home conditions, on balconies and loggias, as well as in greenhouses. Ventura F1 is resistant to brown spot, cucumber mosaic virus, powdery mildew, and tolerant to downy mildew, making it a reliable choice for gardeners aiming to obtain a high-quality and abundant cucumber harvest for general use.
