Cucumber Galina F1 — this is an ultra-early hybrid of Dutch origin, intended for cultivation in open ground. The plant is bushy, about 1.5-1.6 meters tall, with small heart-shaped leaves. The maturation period is 38-40 days after planting, allowing for a quick harvest. The variety is primarily female-flowering with parthenocarpic fruit development, meaning it can form cucumbers without pollination, which is especially important for stable fruiting under various conditions. Galina F1 fruits have a cylindrical shape, length of 10-12 cm, and weight of about 90-100 grams. Their surface is ribbed, color — deep dark green. The flesh of the cucumbers is juicy, succulent, without voids or bitterness, with a delicate sweet aroma and taste. Due to these qualities, the variety is excellent for both fresh consumption and for pickling and salting. The yield is 9-13 kg per square meter, which is a good indicator for hybrids of this class. For successful cultivation, Galina F1 requires warm conditions and fertile soil, however, it is resistant to stress and able to tolerate shade. Seeds are sown in open ground when the soil temperature reaches 15-20°C during the day and not below 8°C at night. It is recommended to use prepared furrows or holes with a substrate of peat, manure, sand, and mineral fertilizers, which are then mulched and covered with plastic film to retain moisture and warmth. Also, seedlings can be grown with 20-25-day-old seedlings having 3-5 true leaves, transplanted into greenhouses or polyethylene tunnels starting in early May.
