Cucumber EUREKA F1

The Strength of Ukrainian Genetics

The “Evrika F1” hybrid represents the culmination of research efforts by leading Ukrainian agricultural institutions, including the Institute of Vegetable and Melon Growing of NAAS. Designed for producers who prioritize local adaptation and consistency, this hybrid performs exceptionally well in open-field conditions, where imported varieties often struggle with environmental variability.

Agronomic Profile

As a vegetative-type plant, Evrika F1 exhibits vigorous growth, ensuring a steady supply of nutrients to the developing fruit. Being a bee-pollinated variety, it is perfectly suited for open-air cultivation, where natural pollinators ensure optimal fruit set. With a maturity window of 40–45 days, it allows for efficient harvest scheduling.

Product Quality and Resilience

The fruits reach an average weight of 80 grams, with a length of 10–12 cm and a distinct, coarse-warty texture. The deep, dark-green color is highly valued on the market, maintaining its appeal throughout the harvest season. A key advantage for commercial growers is the hybrid's genetic resistance to downy mildew (peronosporosis) and bacteriosis, significantly reducing the necessity for heavy chemical intervention and supporting sustainable farming practices.
