Hybrid cucumber of female flowering type 'Beit Alpha', mini type. Relatively early maturing. The plant is strong and healthy. Excellent resistance to a wide range of diseases makes this hybrid suitable for cultivation under various conditions. Fruits are cylindrical, smooth, with medium-green coloration, very uniform, 15-18 cm long. Highly tolerant to heat. Due to its relatively thin rind, typical for this segment, it yields high marketable fruit output when grown on trellis. Resistant to cucumber mosaic virus (serogroup 1), powdery mildew (intermediate resistance), watermelon mosaic virus, common squash mosaic virus, and melon ring spot virus. Although Samarkand is also suitable for trellis cultivation, it is primarily used for ground cultivation in open ground. Excellent variety for fresh market sales, as well as for processing.
