Description
Mityay F1 is a mid-season, insect-pollinated hybrid suitable for cultivation both in open ground and under cover. The vegetation period is 48-50 days, allowing for harvest within relatively short timeframes. The cucumbers of this variety are cylindrical, 10-12 cm long, moderately ribbed, and free of bitterness, making them universally suitable for use. They are ideal for pickling and preserving, and also suitable for fresh consumption due to their high flavor quality.
This hybrid exhibits increased resistance to false powdery mildew (FPM), significantly simplifying care and enhancing crop reliability. For successful cultivation, seedlings should be sown in early May, followed by transplanting 20-day-old seedlings into the soil at the end of May to early June, when plants are in the three- to four-leaf stage. Mityay cucumbers require fertile, neutral pH, well-drained soils enriched with organic matter, which promotes vigorous growth and development.
Mityay belongs to the insect-pollinated type of cucumbers, which requires pollination by insects to ensure high-quality fruits with rich flavor and aroma. The seeds of this variety have high germination energy and excellent germination rate, guaranteeing a strong start for plants. Thanks to these characteristics, Mityay F1 is an excellent choice for gardeners seeking delicious and high-quality harvests under various cultivation conditions.
