Sebastian

The cucumber variety Sebastian is a fast-maturing and high-yielding parthenocarpic hybrid suitable for cultivation in open ground, protected soil, and under temporary film coverings. The period from germination to the start of technical maturity is 40-50 days, allowing for an early harvest. The plant is indeterminate, medium-height, and moderately branched, ensuring good development and fruiting.

The fruits of the Sebastian cucumber are 8-11 cm long, 3.5-4 cm in diameter, and weigh 90-100 grams. The fruits are medium-ribbed, white-stemmed, dark green with short white stripes. The flesh is tender, juicy, and slightly sweet, making this variety especially valuable for fresh consumption, as well as for pickling and canning. The versatile use of the fruits allows for dietary diversity and preserves the beneficial properties of the vegetable.

The Sebastian cucumber has good resistance to true and false powdery mildew, contributing to stable yields and reducing the need for frequent protective treatments. The yield on open beds reaches 2-3 kg per square meter. In addition to excellent taste qualities, the cucumber is a low-calorie product rich in vitamins and minerals, which helps hydrate the body, improve digestion, and strengthen immunity.
