Cucumber Lastochka

Reliable Open-Field Production

The 'Lastochka' cucumber is a field-proven variety developed by the N.I. Vavilov Institute of Plant Genetic Resources. It is specifically bred for open-ground cultivation, featuring a generative plant type. This ensures that the plant diverts its energy directly into fruit production rather than excessive foliage, simplifying field management and pruning for the grower.

Resilience and Ease of Maintenance

Operating with 'Lastochka' minimizes the complexity of your crop protection program. Its genetic resistance to brown spot and cucumber mosaic virus acts as a natural insurance policy. Furthermore, its ability to withstand powdery mildew and mycosphaerella spot significantly reduces the need for frequent fungicide applications, making it a cost-effective choice for both professional growers and smallholders.
