Cucumber Gvidon is a medium-early, bee-pollinated variety, predominantly female-flowering, which begins fruiting 45 days after germination and maintains productivity for 40-50 days. The cucumbers have a proper cylindrical shape with large bumps, up to 8 cm long and up to 75 grams in weight, with a length-to-thickness ratio of 3:1. The fruits are dark green with blurred stripes, juicy and crunchy without bitterness, making them suitable for fresh consumption as well as for pickling, canning, marinating, and fermenting. Hybrid Gvidon exhibits high uniformity of fruits, good appearance, and excellent taste qualities. It is suitable for cultivation under various conditions, including plastic greenhouses, covered and open ground. The variety demonstrates high resistance to major cucumber diseases such as olive spot, false and true powdery mildew, and cucumber mosaic virus. Additionally, it has good cold and heat tolerance, ensuring a stable and high yield. For sowing, the recommended seeding rate is 7-15 grams per 100 sq.m., with 40-50 seeds per gram.
