Cucumber Deltastar F1 — a hybrid of Dutch selection by Rijk Zwaan, intended for spring-summer and summer-autumn cultivation in various climatic zones, including the Northwestern, Central, and Central Chernozem regions. Plants are vigorous, open-type, with female flowering, possessing high regenerative ability and resistance to adverse conditions. Leaves are medium to large in size, light green in color, with slightly and moderately wavy edges. The hybrid is distinguished by early maturity, entering fruiting on the 42nd day after germination, and characterized by uniform yield. Deltastar F1 fruits have a cylindrical shape, 13-18 cm in length, and weigh about 129 g. The fruits are smooth, glossy, slightly ribbed, dark green in color, without a stem. Cross-sectionally, the fruit is round, with white hairs and spines. Flavor qualities are good, with high dry matter content. The hybrid is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in high-tech greenhouses and unheated facilities during the summer-autumn period, ensuring a stable and high-quality yield. Deltastar F1 exhibits high resistance to major cucumber diseases, including cladosporiosis, powdery mildew, leaf spot, and is tolerant to cucumber mosaic virus (CMV). Due to its commercial qualities, resilience, and good fruit storability, this hybrid is an excellent choice for commercial cultivation, providing high yields up to 12.2 kg per square meter.
