Description CHUDO-KARAPUZ
Chudo-Karapuz is an early-maturing parthenocarpic cucumber hybrid with female flowering type, intended for cultivation both in open ground and in plastic greenhouses. Plants are well-branched, indeterminate, and vigorous, ensuring stable and abundant fruiting throughout the summer season. 1 to 5 fruits form at each node, contributing to high yields even under stressful conditions. Cucumbers reach a length of 6–8 cm, have dark green coloration with white spines and a rough-surfaced texture. Fruit flesh is dense, juicy, and very sweet, making the variety versatile for fresh consumption, as well as for preservation and fermentation. The Chudo-Karapuz variety is distinguished by high disease resistance, significantly simplifying care and reducing the risk of crop loss. Due to its flavor qualities and dense fruit structure, cucumbers are suitable for various processing and storage methods. The average weight of the cucumbers is 80–100 grams, optimal for salad and preservation use. Yield under plastic film reaches 13–15 kg per square meter, confirming the hybrid's high productivity. For successful cultivation, seeds should be sown in April at a germination temperature of +22–25 °C, and transplanting seedlings should be performed at the end of May – beginning of June after the appearance of 3–4 true leaves. Planting scheme in greenhouses is 2–3 plants per square meter, in open ground — 3–4 plants per square meter. This approach ensures optimal plant development and maximum harvest. Chudo-Karapuz is an excellent choice for gardeners seeking an early, tasty, and high-yielding cucumber with high resistance to adverse conditions.
