Benefic — an early-maturing parthenocarpic cucumber hybrid, intended for cultivation in open ground and under plastic coverings. From germination to the start of fruiting, it takes 40–44 days, enabling an early harvest. The plant is strong, medium-height (60–70 cm), with an indeterminate growth habit and predominantly female flowering. Each node forms 2–4 fruits, contributing to high yields — up to 11.7 kg per square meter.
Benefic fruits are cylindrical, 10–12 cm long and 3.5–4 cm in diameter, weighing 90–140 g. The fruits have dark green, warty skin with short stripes and sparse mottling, a small seed cavity, and a dense, crisp flesh. They are non-bitter and not prone to overgrowth, making them suitable for fresh consumption, pickling, and canning.
The hybrid exhibits good plant coverability, which is especially important during hot months. Due to parthenocarpy, Benefic does not require pollination, simplifying care and increasing yield stability. This variety is ideal for cultivation in home gardens and small farms.
