BAYKAL cucumber is an early-maturing variety suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in greenhouses. Medium-strength plant with short vines, characterized by high yield — up to 12 kg per square meter. Fruits reach a length of up to 10-13 cm and a weight of about 90-120 g, possessing juicy, crisp flesh with a thin dark green skin, no bitterness, and retain their flavor during long-term storage and transportation. Due to its distinct aroma and characteristic field cucumber flavor, it is excellent for fresh consumption as well as for canning.

The BAYKAL variety is resistant to major cucumber diseases such as powdery mildew, olive and angular leaf spot, and also immune to cucumber mosaic virus and cladosporeiosis. This ensures a stable yield and reduces the need for frequent application of chemical plant protection agents. The plant exhibits strong growth energy, short internodes, and a cluster-type flower arrangement, which promotes rapid entry into the fruiting phase within 35-45 days after planting.
