Description J 6923 Z
J 6923 Z — a mid-season hybrid of sweet sh2-type corn, popular on the European market, especially in Hungary. The vegetative period is about 82 days, allowing cultivation in open ground throughout the season. This hybrid is suitable for both fresh consumption and processing, making it a versatile choice for farmers and households.

The plant has a compact yet robust structure with a well-developed root system, providing high resistance to lodging. The hybrid demonstrates high adaptability to various growing conditions, cold tolerance, and resistance to stress factors. Additionally, it is resistant to corn mosaic virus and has moderate resistance to leaf helminthosporium, rust, and southern leaf spot. The hybrid is also resistant to herbicides containing mesotrione and tembotrione.

The ears are cylindrical, 16–25 cm long and up to 5.5 cm in diameter, with bright yellow or orange-yellow kernels arranged in 18 rows. The kernels have a depth of 13–14 mm and contain a high sugar content (12–13 Brix), ensuring excellent taste. The ear weight reaches about 200 g. Due to its high content of vitamins and macro- and microelements, corn J 6923 Z is suitable for both fresh consumption and canning. Recommended planting scheme — 70×50 cm; sowing in April–May to a depth of about 4 cm; harvest possible from June to September.
